Applying Velcro to an Ibanez pedal

After many positive reactions to the video where you see me Applying Velcro to a Boss DM-2, I decided to create another tutorial. This time I wanted to show how I apply velcro to an Ibanez AD80.  This beautiful analog delay from the eighties a little less popular then the DM-2 but it’s still a vintage gem. At least, too much of a gem to ruin it with stickiness that you get with applying velcro straight to the bottom plate and label.

For this pedal from the 0-series I created a template that also fits the 9-series. They both have the exact bottom plate and battery cover.

In this video I show you my method. I think it’s the best DIY way to keep your valuable pedal clean without using the ability to use velcro. Go ahead and try it for yourself!

To attach the velcro, you’ll need the following:

  • Duct tape
  • Velcro
  • Pair of scissors
  • Screwdriver
  • Template (see button below)

We also have templates available for Boss and Joyo pedals and would love to help you out with other types of pedals. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay in the loop for new helpful videos!
